AVA Covid-19 N4 Vending Machines are Safe
The following letter has gone out to Ministers at HM Treasury and the Ministry of Housing, Communities & Local Government. The aim is to remove the ‘uncertainty’ around Business Rebates for ‘unattended retail’ businesses as there are different interpretations by each Local Authority. If you want to send a letter to press the Ministries for positive action you can find it here:
Most of our members provide their services in the Business & Industry sector, which has obviously been negatively impacted by the COVID-19 outbreak. But additionally, they have many clients in the NHS, Government offices, manufacturing, food production, the military and even prisons. These are clients who require that their services are maintained to keep their staff fed and watered 24/7. Requests which our members, ‘key workers’ as part of the ‘food supply’ chain are attempting to fulfil – whilst at the same time complying with the latest Government guidelines on working safely. A fact not always recognised by ‘the authorities’. So we have written to all the Ministers at the Department for Business, Energy & Industrial Strategy to ensure that Vending & Unattended Retailing is officially included in the ‘exempt’ businesses. If you want to do the same her is the letter:
Please remember that all AVA Staff are on hand to help the Vending Industry as and when required. You can use the details below to contact us.
