AVA and EDWCA Christmas Luncheon 2016
Our Christmas Luncheon took place on 8th December at One Whitehall Place, London and it was a wonderful afternoon of festivities and networking.
One Whitehall Place at The Royal Horse Guards Hotel is one of London’s most prestigious and majestic event venues. An elegant Victorian masterpiece with ornate sculptured ceilings, a grand marble staircase and glittering chandeliers, it’s ideally located on Victoria Embankment with stunning views over the River Thames and the London Eye from where we had our drinks reception. There were welcome drinks for all our guests and the room was filled with music played by Harriet Adie on her harp.
We were then treated to a delicious three course lunch sponsored by Vendman Systems, N&W Global Vending and Nupik-Flo. All three courses were presented beautifully and were served with plenty of drink! During the meal we also had some entertainment from The Christmas Tree-O who sung four classic Christmas songs a capella and brought some festive spirit to the event. We also held a raffle to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support who support people who are going through cancer and their families. We had 10 prizes in total, provided by our members and ourselves, which included hampers, golf prizes and a John Lewis gift voucher and we raised an impressive £2,672.50 which will make such a difference to those who need it.
As the meal slowly wound down and all the wine had all been drunk, most people moved on to Ruby Blue Bar in Leicester Square for an after-party with welcome drinks sponsored by Huhtamaki UK. The bar had a great party atmosphere and the event went on into the night.
We want to thank everyone who came and made it such a great event. We couldn’t do an event like this without all your support, especially our sponsors who were also Lucozade Ribena Suntory, SV365 Retail Markets, Lavazza Coffee UK, Siemens Financial Services, H2O Direct and Abbeychart. All the photos were taken by Paul at Event Photo. To see the photos from the event, please click here.
We hope you all have a very Merry Christmas and a prosperous New Year in 2017.
