The Industry Guide to Good Hygiene Practice: Vending and Dispensing, developed in accordance with Directive 93/43 EEC, has been used by the vending and dispensing industry for many years but needs updating and revising.
When finally registered, this will be an official guide recognised by the Food Standards Agency and Food Standards Scotland and will be used by both vending and dispensing operators and regulatory authorities.
The AVA is now asking for input, comments, suggested edits and views on this guide from the wider food industry and those who manage vending in business, leisure and healthcare settings.
We anticipate that this consultation will be of most interest to vending operators, ingredient and product suppliers, facilities managers and environmental health officers.
