QUALITY ASSURANCE
The AVA is fully committed to quality. All full members of the AVA hold the AVA Quality System accreditation.
The Quality System enables members to demonstrate:
- Their services have set standards that are recognised and controlled
- Conformity to customers’ standards
- Compliance with regulatory controls.
AVA Quality System accreditation is subject to:
- Continuous, recorded in-house monitoring
- A formal, external audit, carried out annually.
Accreditation will be withdrawn if companies fall below the required standards.
The AVA also offers the opportunity for companies to gain AVA ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 14001 accreditation.
How the AVA ensures quality of service
The AVA has developed a Quality System very similar to the principles of ISO 9001:2015 and ensures consistency of service and operation by member companies.
The areas covered by the Quality System are all customer focused: customer care, contract, document control, corrective action, operation control, purchasing of stock, depot hygiene control and training.
In order to be in membership, full members must achieve AVA Quality Assured Accreditation. This means they have demonstrated to the satisfaction of professional quality assessors that they consistently provide services which conform to the contractual requirements of their customers and all regulatory authorities.
To ensure member companies maintain this standard, they are subject to annual inspection and recertification. These inspections are not limited to paperwork. They extend to accompanying service engineers, merchandisers and operators on their rounds to make sure that day on day they consistently deliver what their company has promised.
